The DeWalt DW7350 mobile stand fills my needs as a stable platform for my bench top machines, provides shop mobility and ease of moving from house to house every couple of years. This stand is both sturdy and easy to store out of the way when not in use. Although, I thought the stand a bit pricey at first, I decided to get one and was not disappointed with its rugged construction and relative ease of assembly. In fact I fell in love with it!
I have encountered no problems with stability or ‘creep’ across the floor from machine vibration when the stand’s foot peddle lowers the pair of rubber feet to the floor and, if need be, I place a ‘rear’ wheel mounting bracket against the garage’s concrete foundation. The stand stays put. I was so impressed with the rugged, heavy gauge metal construction of the DeWalt stand and the ease of moving it about that I have since purchased a second stand and mounted my Delta 14-651 bench top mortiser and am just as pleased with the results. I plan to purchase a third mobile stand in the near future.
The shelf that comes with the stand (not shown in product picture) is mounted midway up the stand and is quite sturdy. I fastened a latched, metal box to the shelf which is a great place to keep the bits and pieces associated with your power tool… they will always be handy. If you are anything like me, you hate playing “hunt for the tool”!
So, if you have a small shop where space is at a premium; or you lack fixed bench space for your bench top machines; or have a need for practical mobility as I do changing houses every few years… get the DeWalt DW7350 mobile planer stand, you won’t be sorry you did!
